An Open Letter to Our Community

Since 2015, Wonder Women Tech has created a global impact for women and the underrepresented in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math) industries. We have produced 7 conferences, 4 hackathons, 5 career fairs and expos, 10 STEAM camps and specialized programming catering to K-12, senior citizens, veterans, and the deaf, and hosted numerous smaller events and panel discussions all over the world.

We have provided over 1500 free scholarships to our events. We work with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits and organizations, governments, and mayors to tackle issues women and the underrepresented face within these industries. Over the last four years we have learned a lot about the communities we serve.

We recently received our 501(c)(3) status! As a result, we committed internally to do even more for our community in 2019. Our mission is to highlight, celebrate, and educate women and the underrepresented in STEAM and in addition to our Global Summit in D.C., International Conference in London, and our National Conference in Long Beach, we will add a new Latin American Summit in Brazil to our lineup to engage our LatinX community and explore conversations around Climate Change and conservation.

We asked you what you wanted from us and we listened.

We are committed more than ever to do the following:

  • Create a Culture of Belonging where everyone is highlighted, celebrated and welcomed.
  • Provide a free Hiring Humans Career Fair and Expo at all of our conferences to ensure we have career development and employment opportunities, as well as economically accessible programming available.
  • We are committed to creating affordable experiences, so all of our General Session tickets for any conference will be $99. Student and Teacher tickets will be $60. All are welcome to apply for Scholarship Opportunities to attend for free.
  • Cultivate the largest deaf in STEAM community and provide STEAM camps and programming with Interpreters provided.
  • Provide child care on site so that every parent can enjoy the conferences.
  • Engage schools and educational organizations to continue providing free Junior Innovation Camps for K-12 students.
  • Provide free Mentor Magic Sessions, Resume Review Lounge, and Mentor Magic Panel discussions at our conferences.
  • Build dynamic partnerships with companies, organizations and governments to ensure we meet our collective goals for achieving ROI and metrics for success.
  • Always provide a safe space for creative expression, career development and learning.

At Wonder Women Tech, we are here for Pioneers, Changemakers, Innovators, and for the Future. We are here for Legacy. We hope you join us in 2019 as we build our largest community and lineup of events ever!
