The Wonder Women Tech Foundation celebrates ‘Being Human’ in every aspect of our existence. Because we are passionate about providing a Culture of Belonging and Inclusion, we have created an Accessibility Policy that addresses our overall efforts in making sure all humans can enjoy our conferences, programs, events, and online community and activities.

We want to create a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for women, girls, people of color, LGBTQ, BIPOC, the underrepresented, and diverse communities to fully experience the magic and impact that Wonder Women Tech creates globally.

The following are the measures we take, where possible, to make our events, programs, and online community accessible and inclusive to as many diverse audiences as possible:

Virtual Experiences:

As a nonprofit organization, we work hard to raise funding to produce our programs and events. Where possible we will provide Closed Captions for our events/programs or ASL interpreters. If we are unable to provide any of these due to budget constraints, we will release recorded content with CC options for your enjoyment at a later time. We will also create dedicated programming for this audience because we are passionate about our deaf and hard-of-hearing community and want to create an inclusive space.

Dedicated Concierge:

We have created a Personal Concierge Team (PCT) that is available prior to our events, and during our events to respond to any concerns, honor accommodation requests, and to meet specific accessibility needs the days of our sessions.

In Person Venues:

We will always work with venues that are accessible to persons using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

We will make sure there are ample Handicapped parking spaces available where possible, and communicate RideShare opportunities to facilitate transportation and parking needs.

Childcare for in-Person Events:

We support our attendees with children and want them to be a part of the WWT ecosystem, so when possible, childcare services will be provided.

Restrooms for in-Person Events:

We will always have accessible restrooms. Where possible, we will also provide all gender restrooms.

ASL Interpretation:

When possible, we will provide ASL interpretation, a DEAF interpreted career fair tour, and/or deaf and hard of hearing workshops and dedicated events.

Seating:

We will always have enough seating for our attendees at our in-person events. We will also have wheelchair seating areas and designated seating closer to our stage area for those who are hard of hearing or have other accessible needs.

Quiet Spaces:

We understand that the need for a quiet space with less stimulation can arise at in-person events. We do have quiet rooms that are available. Please let the concierge know at any time during our events, and they will direct you to one of our designated quiet spaces.

Dietary Needs:

Where relevant and possible, we will try to provide options to fulfill various dietary needs when beverages and food is provided at in-person events.

Service Animals and Accompanying Attendants:

Venues are legally required to allow service animals to be in the service of their companion. Please notify our PCT and let them know you require consideration of your Service Animal and we will work with you to provide a safe environment for everyone.

Our Commitment:

Our mission and Human-Centered approach emphasizes collaboration, empathy, and compassion. We encourage any and all attendees, members, guests, and partners, to share insights or requests regarding how we can accommodate personal needs. We believe in an open source/open communication ecosystem, so please feel free to contact us directly with any special requests that are within reason. We will always act with integrity and empathy and will work to accommodate your requests within reason.
