Digital Development Producer for Connected Play | Mattel
Sandy’s early career was in educational television at Channel One News, where she managed at team of graphic and information designers to illuminate the educational aspects of news and current events. She shifted her focus toward the digital space when the tech industry boomed in the early 2000s. She has a master’s degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University. She’s been at Mattel for 9+ years, with the past 3 years on the Connected Play team as Digital Development Producer, managing the intersection of User Experience Design, Hardware, Software, and Firmware development for highly complex, digitally-enhanced products.
The Connected Play team at Mattel is at the forefront of developing innovative products that bridge digital and physical play, at a critical time in the toy industry when children are favoring digital experiences over physical play at earlier ages. The team is dedicated to keeping physical play on the forefront while meeting the goals of user-centered design, innovation, engagement, creativity and fun!
