Sage Franch is the co-founder and CTO of Crescendo, a Slack app for inclusive company cultures that helps people have meaningful conversations at work. In 2018 she left her corporate job to launch a startup that would solve a problem she and many of her peers in the tech industry had faced: workplace discrimination. After graduating from the Techstars AI accelerator last year, Crescendo now has offices in Montreal and Toronto, and is helping companies across the US and Canada foster healthy communication in their workplaces. Prior to founding Crescendo, Sage worked on emerging tech at Microsoft, including conversational AI and Hololens, and has contributed code to startups and non-profits across North America, with a focus on AI for good. Based in Montreal, Sage is an active mentor to early-stage entrepreneurs and early-career developers, and writes about her startup journey on her blog, trendytechie.ca.
