Rhea Khanna is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, currently working in Azure Strategic Missions.
With over 8 years of experience in the computer software industry, Rhea is an expert in C#, Python,
DevOps, Scripting, and Azure. She is a Purdue University graduate and is passionate about building
scalable and reliable distributed systems.
Rhea has been part of the founding engineering team for a V0 product at Microsoft and has been an API
Lead and SME on the team for RESTful API design and development for Azure services. She has also
worked on establishing a process with reviewers and iterative improvements to API design to best suit
customer needs and meet a high-quality standard as an Azure service.
Rhea has played a vital role in backend feature development for critical features for Azure Networking
such as Outbound Rules and Nat Gateway and has various full stack development experience.
She has also been part of many certifications, such as Developing Your Emotional Intelligence, How to Be
More Strategic in Six Steps, Strategic Thinking, Women Transforming Tech: Voices from the Field, and
Microsoft Hackathon 2020.
Rhea is passionate about mentoring junior engineers and has participated in multiple hiring events for
the team to recruit top talent.
