Dr. Mona Sloane is a sociologist who frequently publishes and speaks about AI, design and inequality. She is is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering, a Fellow with NYU’s Alliance for Public Interest Technology, a Fellow at NYU’s Institute for Public Knowledge, and a Future Imagination Collaboratory Fellow at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She also edits the Technology section at Public Books and works with The GovLab in New York. She currently is Principal Investigator of the “Terra Incognita” research project which investigates the emergence of digital public space in NYC during the COVID-19 pandemic.
