Michael Greene is Intel Vice President and General Manager of the System Technologies & Optimization of Intel’s Software and Services Group. Greene leads a worldwide organization responsible for a broad range of development, validation, enabling, and architecture analysis efforts including pre-silicon software, system firmware, virtual platforms, modeling and simulation solutions and power performance analysis to accelerate development velocity and time to market for Intel platforms.
Greene joined Intel in 1990, after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has managed several new product developments, research efforts, and engineering groups. He has served as Intel’s initiative owner for power efficiency, pre-silicon software readiness, and has driven new technology benchmarking throughout his career.
Michael is passionate about mentoring up-and-coming professionals and seasoned professionals alike in topics ranging from motivation, strategy, career-path planning, and more. He serves on the executive committee of the National GEM Consortium, a partnership that promotes the participation of underrepresented groups in post-graduate science and engineering education and the technical workforce. He is also the champion and sponsor for the Women in Big Data Organization, the STEAM Academy at Intel which promotes the love of technology for middle school aged children, and is heavily involved in the Network of Intel African Americans.
