Melody Walker is director of marketing communications at Boingo Wireless (NASDAQ: WIFI), a leading wireless company that connects people at airports, stadiums, military bases, multifamily communities and commercial properties. She is responsible for managing Boingo’s brand positioning, corporate messaging, content strategy, public relations and executive communications. Her work has led to two “Marketing Team of the Year” honors from Cynopsis Media and Cablefax.

Prior to Boingo, Walker was associate vice president at Havas Formula, a Holmes Report Top 5 PR agency. In this role she spearheaded strategy and execution for the company’s B2B tech, consumer tech and healthcare portfolio, ranging startups to public companies. Walker’s early career started in entertainment where she handled PR for the Screen Actors Guild (now known as SAG-AFTRA).

Walker holds a bachelor’s degree from University of the Pacific, where she captained the top 25 ranked NCAA Division I field hockey team. She later coached for the USA Field Hockey program in Palo Alto, Calif.

Walker is an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), LightReading Women in Comms and standards organizations that include the CBRS Alliance and Wireless Broadband Alliance.
