Mark is a Teacher, Thinker, Story-teller and all things inspirational. Founder of Mark Shawa Group with soon to be announced subsidiaries that all align with his vision. His vision is to create an AFRICA where WE feel SAFE; Safe enough to be OUR TRUE selves. NO judgment and no one left behind. An AFRICA where we are INSPIRED to walk in our AUTHENTICITY and be better CONNECTED with each other. This is OUR AFRICA.

During Mark’s 9-5, he is a Cyber Security Specialist that believes that the Human is the last line of defense in securing an organization. He focuses on shifting the culture through the use of behavioural science skills so as to understand what drives people to do what they do. He has learnt that “The Why” of every person, speaks to “The What and The How” people do things. If we can understand the personal reasons why people do things, we can better understand how we can serve them to develop a future culture of inclusivity.

Mark is the CIL of his company. CIL stands for Conscious Inspirational Leader, and instead of a CEO he believes in action driven titles. CIL came about through his journey to establish his identity, to figure out Who he is and Why he is. This required a level of awareness which came through experiencing life in both its positive and negative experiences. “We are defined by what we believe” and Mark believes that if we can be our true selves, we can learn how to be interconnected and support each other because we know purpose.

He is inspired to Inspire and he does this through his RawCast Journey With Mark. He uses his life as an example of a story that can be told, and who better to talk about it than the protagonist himself.
