Born in Mexico City, where she currently lives and works. María Eugenia holds a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts and is currently completing her Doctorate degree in Arts and Design at the Post-Graduate campus of the Faculty of Arts and Design (UNAM). Her areas of research are related to numismatic art and design, with fields of action in the design and multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary fields. She is currently collaborating with the Coordination Office for Research, Dissemination, and Cataloging of Information Collections of the Antigua Academia de San Carlos, where she is in charge of the Academy’s Numismatic Collection and is further in charge of coordinating the cataloging and photographic records of the collection. María Eugenia has collaborated with the El Grabador Mayor exhibition — a legacy of Jerónimo Antonio Gil, with a paper for the catalog of the exhibition sample. She has also worked as a curator for the permanent exhibitions of Memorias Acuñadas and Tesoros Redescubiertos at the Academy.
