Manuela  works at the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington D.C. as a Program
Management Consultant supporting the WBG Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In 2016, she
was appointed co-chair for the WBG community of young professionals, representing over 8,000 youth
around the globe. During her two-year mandate she led a team of 20 young professionals and
fundraised for youth-led projects implemented in 50+ countries.
Manuela co-founded and supported several initiatives within various institutions including, inter alia, the
World Bank Group Women’s Network, the Youth Tech series, the International Finance Institutions
Women in IT annual event, and the Young Women in IT summer internship program.
She speaks 5 languages and has worked in several countries across 4 continents. Manuela is a first-
generation graduate student, having earned a Master of Science in International Management from the
University of Bologna. Her motto: live, learn and never give up!
