Gabriella Lanouette is an engineer committed to bridging the gap between healthcare and technology. She brings this passion to her role at Orbis International, an eye care nonprofit working to end avoidable blindness. As a full-stack machine learning engineer for the organization’s award-winning telemedicine platform, Cybersight, she develops algorithms for the Cybersight AI tool, which can detect common eye diseases in mere seconds. Gabriella received her undergraduate degree in applied mathematical sciences from the University of Connecticut and holds a postgraduate degree in applied artificial intelligence and machine learning from Columbia University. Before joining Orbis International, she specialized in machine learning to detect fraud and analyze business statistics for the market research company Dynata.
