Frances Méndez is the co-founder and managing director of Camino5 Agency, a digital strategy consultancy. Frances co-founded Camino5 after her own experiences leading clients through major digital campaigns and operations. As an entrepreneur, her main goal is to help individuals and companies with a vision succeed in their business. “Camino” means “way, path or road,” and she believes that whether you’re a startup or a Fortune 500 company, we’re all travelers on the road of business and life.
Frances was born and grew up in Los Angeles to Cuban immigrants. Her father was a waiter, and her mother worked in Data Entry since she was born. She, like her father, couldn’t imagine a 9-5 life and, like her mother, fought going into anything having to do with computers. But one photoshop and conceptual video class later, she was hooked. She has worked in various sectors from CPG, education, and, most notably, working for high profile entertainment management and music industry leaders, including Usher and Lady Gaga. From conceptualizing to overseeing some pretty amazing digital experiences and now advising digital business operations, she decided to take a new path to start Camino5. Her roadmap in life begins with her gratitude to her Abuelita, respect for her parents’ sacrifices, carving a future for her daughters, and an appreciation of the Latinx community.
