Emmy is the Chief Product Officer at ChowNow, where she leads Product, Design, and Engineering and is responsible for expanding ChowNow’s product offerings. Prior to ChowNow, Emmy was the Vice President of Product at Simple; before that, she was the Director of NOOK Content Discovery at Barnes & Noble. Emmy has over a decade of product management experience, having worked as a product manager at Barnes & Noble, RakedIn.com, Yahoo!, Right Media, and Presto. She has helped teach women how to program as far away as Santiago, Chile, where she organized that country’s first RailsGirls event while participating in the Start-Up Chile technology incubator. Emmy holds a degree in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University, with concentrations in Neurosciences and Natural Language Processing. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and one-year-old son.
