For the last decade, Elvina worked in production: first booking commercials as talent, then transitioning to camera & editing for Zuckerberg Media, Avril Lavigne, Maxim Magazine, and much more. Recognizing the challenges indie filmmakers face renting locations, she launched ScoutMy.com. Early participation in the share-economy inspired Elvina to open a brick & mortar in Hollywood called PodShare – a co-living social travel brand. Over 4,000 Podestrians slept in custom pods at a 92% occupancy rate (national average 60%), 84% were international travelers, and 87% traveled solo which made Elvina realize that PodShare could be a solution to cure world loneliness. LA Weekly named the pods “the Best Place to crash”, TripAdvisor awarded them #1 in specialty lodging, and they’re rated 5/5 stars on YELP. All roads point to expansion, so Elvina launched what Tech Crunch called “The Funniest Crowd-Funding Video Ever” and a PodShare Labs co-working space for local collaboration.
