Eline van der Velden is the 2X award winning Actress/Writer/Director of the new BBC Three series Miss Holland and founder of Particle6 Productions, disrupting tech communications. She’s also known for her BBC Three street experiment videos Putting It Out There and the Gender Bias riddle which got 14M views.
Having studied Physics at Imperial College London, with a Master project on Nuclear Fusion, she taught maths and physics to kids while gaining parts in several Dutch national TV series from 2009. Previous to that she trained in Drama & Musical Theatre at the Arts Educational School in Tring, Hertfordshire.
In 2012, after training at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in Los Angeles and feeling a lack of good comedy parts in the industry, she created her own comedy show Miss Holland which won Best Online Comedy at the 2013 Lovie Awards.
She repeated this success with a comedy sketch show The Bad News Crew, becoming the number 1 Maker on DailyMotion.
Straddling both business and performing, she then became the Managing Director of the Dutch video platform Makers Channel, which was acquired by Benelux conglomerate De Persgroep in November 2016. She is currently on BBC Three in series such as social satire Miss Holland, Putting it out there and Quickies.
Eline runs her own production company Particle 6 Productions and still dreams about saving the world with plasma fusion.
