Director of the Office of Innovation | The Food and Drug Administration
Ms. Cory Darden Milam is the Director of the Office of Innovation within the Office of Information Technology & Management at The Food and Drug Administration. In this role, Ms. Milam focuses on enabling leading edge technologies, providing strategic direction to the agency’s scientific computing program and delivering collaborative knowledge management designed to enhance the agency’s ability to execute its mission to protect the public health. This includes oversight over the FDA Innovation Lab, a testament to FDA’s commitment to establishing and promoting an innovative and entrepreneurial culture. This dynamic space, where ideas are collaboratively transformed into innovations, has been designed to challenge “business as usual” and to encourage exploring new ways to solve challenging problems for the agency and to support building the agency’s innovation ecosystem. Ms. Milam has served in a wide array of Federal Government and the private sector positions providing her extensive knowledge, experience, and application of project and program management practices. Ms. Milam has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Systems Management (University of the Potomac) and a Master of Science in Project Management from the George Washington University.
