Colby Devitt is a founding partner at Devitt + Perlman, a social media marketing agency that works entertainment clients and brands to create campaigns that generate action and amass lively audiences. Clients include Staples, Kaiser Permanente, Disney Pictures, The Chopra Well, Purity of Elements, Beyond Words, numerous authors and filmmakers as well as book publishing and film distribution companies. She is a digital marketing leader and internet entrepreneur with a passion for using social media as a storytelling medium that engages communities. As VP of Marketing for the Reading Kingdom, she launched its online reading program via social media, resulting in significant ROI. She was also the co-founder and president of Wildform, an award-winning software company. Pioneers in web video, Wildform created the first line of Flash video encoders, which was sold to On2 and then bought by Google. During her decade long tenure, she oversaw all aspects of digital marketing. Previously, she was a web producer at the New York Times, where she implemented innovative storytelling technologies for projects such as the Pulitzer-winning Race in America series. She has also lectured on social media marketing at Harvard University, USC Annenberg and the New York Film Academy. She has a BA from Barnard and an MA from Harvard.
