Born and raised in San Jose, California, I started my career in the public sector, serving in AmeriCorps and various nonprofits. In these roles, I realized that technology was being underutilized to truly give disadvantaged communities the ability to take more control over the quality of their lives. In 2012, I took a leap of faith and made a career transition, becoming a self-taught freelance website developer . In 2015, I pursued a Master’s in Interaction Design in London and it was here that I discovered my passion for creating Virtual Reality apps. I went in to become a VR Developer and was awarded funding by Oculus in 2017 to launch my bias training app on their platform. I also Founded a startup specializing in building VR training solutions for enterprise. Currently, I’m a Product Manager at Meta Reality Labs (formerly Facebook Reality Labs) and I live in London with my 1 year old English bulldog
