Having worked in sales and marketing during her studies, Taz then spent over 4 years as a teacher. Hungry for a bigger challenge, she ventured into the Tech world, helping to hire teams at scale – an unconventional move but it bought together two things; her curiosity around how humans are wired and her desire to help people.  Frustrated with the lack of diversity and inclusion in her industry, Taz joined the Muslamic Makers community to run their events, to bring these issues into the limelight, encourage awareness and ultimately, create real, impactful change. She has previously given keynote talks at the likes of Tech Inclusion 2018 and Facebook and now heads up Diversity & Inclusion at YSYS, delivering projects for orgs including Capital Enterprise, Techstars and Huckletree.
