At just 26 years old, Ashleigh Richelle's professional career in Diversity & Inclusion in tech spans over 10 years. Ashleigh is a proud alumna of SMASH, the signature STEM education program of the Kapor Center, where she first discovered her passion for using technology to tell stories. Her career has truly come full circle – today, Ashleigh is the Communications Manager for SMASH. Prior to joining SMASH, Ashleigh worked at CBS Interactive and LinkedIn. She is an Emma Bowen Foundation Fellow and is involved with the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of her local Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) chapter. Ashleigh attended the University of Chicago, where she graduated with a B.A. in Cinema & Media Studies and a minor in Human Rights, focusing on documentary film production. She loves movies, salsa dancing, travel,
advocating for her local community and being a role model for other young Latinx and women of color.
