Kimberly King is an innovator, social entrepreneur and global change agent in the fields of financial services and public health, sustainable development and impact innovation, and the education and empowerment of women and youth. Kimberly launched her first company at the age of 21, and by 23 was ranked in the top 10% of all female executives in the United States. She later began a career in financial services, creating award-winning education and business development models via public-private partnerships with the banking and credit union industry. She extended her reach to support under-served communities in the US, and women and youth in developing countries, creating microfinance programs, entrepreneurship training, women’s health and education, and mentoring and leadership programs in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

Kimberly brings a unique whole-systems perspective to her work uniting the power of business and technology with a deep commitment to serving the greater good. She has represented an impressive array of Fortune 500’s, NGO’s and cross-sector partners to include American Express, AT&T, Credit Union National Association, LA Economic Development Corp, the World Trade Center and the United Nations.

Kimberly is the Founding Director of One Island Institute, CSO of Global Tech, and Vice President of the International Women’s Think Tank. She is also the Co-founder of WIESD – Women in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development based in Sweden and the US. Kimberly serves as advisor and board member to numerous organizations, and is a Representative to the UN Commission on the Status of Women and the UN Committee on Sustainable Development.

Kimberly is an international speaker and featured co-author in the Power of Team, and best selling series “Wake up and Live the Life You Love”. A true global citizen, she has worked and traveled to nearly 70 countries and is the honored recipient of the Eleanor Roosevelt Global Humanitarian Award.
