Growth Expert and Business Development Leader | GrowthX

At 24 years old, Kendall Romine is currently with GrowthX, a seed stage venture capital fund based in San Francisco, where she works closely with GrowthX portfolio companies, leading them through a rigorous market accelerator program, helping them scale their products and find their product market fit so they gain the necessary traction to secure series A funding. One such women owned company, GlamSt, Kendall has grown by 183% in the last six months, developing value based pricing, building out the sales pipeline, and securing high profile customers such as Ulta and Dior.

The groundwork Kendall lays the very early stage of a company shapes the form each business will take in the future. She is currently in the process of developing a nonprofit division for GrowthX to do the same for orgs.

Prior to joining GrowthX, Kendall was at Sosh, where she specialized in top of the funnel sales on the business-development team. A pro soccer player, Kendall was selected by the Seattle Reign in the 2015 National Women’s Soccer League raft an experience she considers less than successful. Previously, as Captain of Stanford’s women’s soccer team, Kendall led the Cardinals to their first NCAA title in program history.

While at Stanford, Kendall also focused her attention to Stanford’s Program in Social Entrepreneurship, where she researched and evaluated mechanisms for creating sustainable social enterprises. She later worked with Stanford’s OpenEdX platform, teaming up with Anne Murray founder of the Global Fund for Women to teach a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on international women’s health. During the MOOC’s development, Kendall created outreach strategies that effectively resulted in the enrollment of 5,000 students for the first run of the course.

An adventurous traveler, Kendall’s on a mission to explore all 7 continents, with just 3 to go. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, as well as journaling and diving into a good read.
