Technology Sector Lead | City of Long Beach Workforce Bureau

Leveraging my skills and 7 years of post-graduate degree recruiting experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments, I engage with employers to provide them with business services for the City of Long Beach’s Workforce Development Board and Innovation Network (Pacific Gateway), a Bureau of the City’s Economic Development Department. I help connect companies to resources, future employees and potential funding streams to help serve their needs and ensure local businesses and companies (throughout the Greater Los Angeles area) are strong and growing. This, in turn, helps to create employment opportunities for customers of our agency who are recently dislocated workers, underemployed residents, adults, and youth of our region.

I have previously worked as an IT recruiter for a Technology Solutions firm and then later as a Senior Technical Recruiter for Molina Healthcare where I supported their 600+ IT department. I filled over 250 positions at Molina ranging from entry level desktop support techs, system administrators, network engineers and software developers to Senior IT Directors and even a few Associate Vice Presidents of Applications.

A native Californian born and raised in Redondo Beach, I have lived abroad in Costa Rica and Israel and have a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. Outside of helping people and working to ensure the City of Long Beach’s economy is running strong, I enjoy surfing, rock climbing, SUP boarding, snowboarding, being outdoors, hiking, camping, and exercising.
