Jennifer Schwartz brings more than 20 years of digital experience to her position as Vice President of Digital Product at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC), the world’s leading guitar and musical instruments manufacturer transforming music history since 1946. In this role, Schwartz leads the digital product team in creating Fender Digital’s apps and web experiences, including Fender Play™, Fender Tune™ and Fender Tone™ for iOS and Android™. Created in 2015,Fender Digital has ushered in a new wave of innovation for the brand, applying the same level of “digital” craftsmanship to match that of Fender’s analog product offerings.Since joining the company in October 2015,one of Schwartz’s biggest accomplishments has been building an entire consumer-facing ecosystem of digital products from the ground up. She also worked to create and launch the online, video-based learning platform, Fender Play, which debuted in July2017 as Fender’s first revenue-driving app. Starting from scratch, Schwartz and her team built a robust guided curriculum that teaches new players how to play their favorite songs on guitar, bass and ukulele.Schwartz has worked in the digital realm for nearly two decades leading digital content strategy and product management efforts for iconic brands, including Disney, Food Network and Live Nation/Ticketmaster, as well as more innovative, niche startups.During her six-plus years at Live Nation, she led the ideation, design and development of all web and mobile products for Live Nation Labs, a fast-paced start-up team within the global live leading entertainment company, among other accomplishments.Throughout her career, Schwartz has worked in nearly every area of the music industry.She’s been a lead singer in bands, written about music for top publications like Yahoo! and MSN, owned a record store and worked for a major label.
