Gabriela M.C. is an author, mental health advocate, and entrepreneur, daughter of Mexican immigrant parents raised in Baldwin Park, CA. Gabriela received her bachelor in Sociology at the age of 19 from UCLA and her Master of Social work at 23 from USC. As a first generation college graduate, she believed it was important to share her journey with others and as a result published her first book “16 and A College Student.” Gabriela believes in sharing her experience as a first generation college student in hopes of helping others by shedding light on the journey itself in higher education. Gabriela is now a mother of two, therapist, and business owner, dedicating herself to mentoring the youth of underrepresented communities by sharing her story and encouraging others to do the same.
