Josie Lee is currently serving as Recruitment Outreach Specialist at the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Human Resources, Office of Recruitment, Examination and Employment; Recruitment Division (HR/REE/REC). She previously served as Human Resources Specialist/ Family Member Recruitment Coordinator in Frankfurt, Germany, the fifth largest post worldwide. She also served at the U.S. Embassy Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in Lima, Peru; and Montreal, Canada. She has visited over 27 countries worldwide. In her current position, Ms. Lee manages the Youth and Young Professionals Outreach, as well as Diversity Outreach for Women. Her passion for youth issues as well as women’s empowerment in underserved communities has taken her to several communities nationwide. Ms. Lee has traveled nationwide (and locally) to high schools, colleges, universities and professional organizations events to promote opportunities offered by the Department of State. Ms. Lee began her U.S. Government career at the Department of State as a Family Member (spouse) employee; following a 15-year plus career in the private sector. She has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/International Business; and a Bachelor’s in Human Resources Administration and HR Certification. 

Ms. Lee is also fluent in French and Spanish, intermediate in German and Amharic. She is married and has two daughters.
