Amber is Product Lead for Twitter’s Media Infrastructure org, an org of over 50 globally distributed teammates where she oversees teams responsible for building and creating media products and technology. She has played a pivotal role in forming strategies, partnerships, and experiences that impact billions of media uploads for over 100 million users globally. Amber has held product roles across entertainment and technology companies such as Disney, CNN, and The Weather Channel where she’s helped to pioneer the transition from linear broadcast to digital during the rise of over-the-top-streaming (OTT) and TV Everywhere (TVE). She’s shipped a number of transformative features including a redesign, using first-in-industry streaming techniques and designs for CNN’s CNNgo application across Apple, Roku, and Fire TV devices which were featured in Roku’s 2017 Developer Newsletter to over 100,000 members of the Roku developer community. During her professional journey, Amber developed and taught the first computer science curriculum at Year Up Atlanta, an award-winning National 501c(3) organization that provides urban young adults with the skills and experience for a professional career. Amber’s program began with 10-15 students learning directly from her and has expanded into a full development track now enabling hundreds of Year Up Atlanta students to learn CS and obtain internships at fortune 500 companies. Amber earned her bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Computer Science (Integrated Study) from Kennesaw State University.
