McKenzie Slaughter is a long-time financial innovator and advocate for resilient financial infrastructure and equitable digital economies. McKenzie is the Founder of Prohaus Capital, a blockchain-enabled private equity firm that focuses on the acquisition and growth of lower middle market future of finance solutions across internet finance, financial services and asset management. She is also founding partner of Alts Foundation, a non-profit supporting the digital transformation of alternative investment professionals.
Prior to, McKenzie was a 4x entrepreneur and led M&A strategy, brand valuations, investment strategy for pension, private equity, hedge funds and independent broker dealers; and lead operations for healthcare and financial technology incubators. Most recently worked extensively with international organizations, governments, development banks, foundations, and private equity funds to lead digital transformation and financial ecosystem development programs throughout the US, Europe, Caribbean, and Africa. Which lead to co-founder and lead architect for the Digital Financial Market Infrastructure (DFMI) protocol, developing end-to-end core products for banks and financial institutions, and governments.
McKenzie is also 100 Women in Finance CAIA Scholar, co-author of The Insurtech Book, and recognized on Innovate Finance’s Women in Fintech Powerlist and Black Tech Titan by Black Enterprise.
