Social Media Director at TheGrio.com
Kimberly Wilson is a digital strategist, storyteller, and all-around editorial/content person. In her role as Social Media Director at TheGrio.com, she is responsible for engaging the platform’s active social audience, curating stories that affect and reflect the African American community and developing strategies for growth. Kimberly has demonstrated success building strong teams and managing awardwinning projects prior to this role. Her work experience has included roles and projects such as The Root, Black Enterprise, the NAACP Image Awards, the American Black Film Festival and Think Tank Digital.
In addition to running social at TheGrio, Kimberly is an adjunct professor (Howard University, Iona College and the College of New Rochelle). Her classes cover content and social media strategy, as well as integrated marketing.
Kimberly received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland and her J.D. from the Howard University School of Law.
